Inspired by fractal geometries and the geometric symbols repeated in all cultures around the world, the Mandala series allows an unlimited number of patterns made only with reused paper.

Each work is unique because of its creation process. Every composition is a game between choosing the folding method of paper, and how will the chosen external layers compose the final graphic pattern.

Inspirada por las geometrías fractales y los símbolos geométricos repetidos en todas las culturas alrededor del mundo, la serie Mandala permite un número ilimitado de patrones hechos únicamente reutilizando papel.

Cada obra es única debido a su proceso de creación. Cada composición es un juego entre la elección del método de plegado del papel, y de cómo las capas finales escogidas compondrán el patrón gráfico exterior.

The Reciclantes collective will make an exhibition in Ansoáin (Pamplona – Spain) from november, 26th till december, 18th of 2010, and Retrain will be part of it with the ATOMO Stool and the SOFI Chair. The Recicloscopio 1.0 exhibition is held under the European Week of Waste Prevention organized by Crana, and is defined as: “an exhibition that shows multiple versions of artistic recycling with the aim of widen and especially, of recycle the idea that we have of recycling”.

El colectivo Reciclantes hará una exposición en Ansoáin (Pamplona – Spain) del 26 de noviembre al 18 de diciembre de 2010, y Retrain será parte de ella con el Taburete ATOMO y la Silla SOFI. La exposición Recicloscopio 1.0 está enmarcada en la Semana Europea de la Prevención de Residuos organizada por Crana, y se define como: “una exposición que muestra múltiples versiones del reciclaje artístico con el objetivo de ampliar, y sobre todo, de reciclar la idea que tenemos del reciclaje”.

Retrain will be part of the Rehogar 2010 exhibition in Valencia made by “Makea Tu Vida” Collective. The SOFI Chair and the ATOMO Stool will be part of this event that wants to create a full house made by recycled or reused materials. The exhibition will be held in the “Sala de la Muralla de Octubre Centre de Cultura Contemporània” in Valencia, from September 27 to October 8.

Retrain será parte de la exposición Rehogar 2010 en Valencia organizada por el Colectivo “Makea Tu Vida“. La Silla SOFI y el Taburete ATOMO serán parte de este evento que quiere crear una casa completa hecha con elementos reciclados o reutilizados. La exhibición se alojará en la “Sala de la Muralla de Octubre Centre de Cultura Contemporània” en Valencia, del 27 de Septiembre al 8 de Octubre.

Organized by the Ofolre Association, the 1s National Crafts Contest is located in the Algas gallery in Suances (Spain), and Retrain will expose its paper creations there. The exhibition will be open until the September 5th, and shows the works of many artists of different crafts disciplines.

The creations exposed by Retrain will be the Sofi Chair, the Sofi Box and the Atomo Stool.

Organizada por la asociación Ofolre, el 1er Certamen Nacional de Oficios está localizado en la galería Algas en Suances (España), y Retrain expondrá allí sus creaciones en papel. La exposición estará abierta hasta el día 5 de Septiembre y muestra los trabajos de muchos artistas de diversas disciplinas artesanales y artísticas.

Las creaciones expuestas por Retrain serán la Silla Sofi, la Caja Sofi y el Taburete Átomo.

In ARTEAPARTE 2010, this year the slogan was: “ARTCYCLING” (Recycling as art, as aesthetics, as design, as a critic or as humor resource.); There were more than 50 creations of artists coming from Spain, Germany, The Netherlands, France, Mexico and Argentina. Painting, esculpture, design, drawing, illustration, graffitti, urban art, photography, videoart, audioart, electronic art, installations, performances, or netart, were the different artistic disciplines that were used to expose the creations.

En ARTEAPARTE 2010, el lema de este año fue: “ARTECICLAR” (Reciclar como arte, como estética, como diseño, como crítica o recurso humorístico); huno más de 50 creaciones de artistas provenientes de España, Alemania, Holanda, Francia, Méjico y Argentina. Pintura, escultura, diseño, dibujo, ilustración, graffitti, arte urbano, fotografía, videoarte, arte sonoro, arte electrónico, instalaciones, performances o net art, fueron las diferentes disciplinas artísticas usadas para exponer las creaciones.

On the 1st of april took place the 2nd Clean Drinks event at Club Watt in Rotterdam (Netherlands). Retrain was the 8th and last to pitch.

Clean Drinks is a pioneers meeting where every participant has 3 minutes to pitch and show their projects. This edition’s topic was “incubation needs creativity”. After the pitches, everybody was free to talk and contact with every participant.

El 1 de abril tuvo lugar la 2nd Clean Drinks en el Club Watt en Rotterdam (Holanda). Retrain fue el octavo y último en presentar.

Clean Drinks es un encuentro de pioneros donde cada participante dispone de 3 minutos para presentar y charlar sobre sus proyectos. El tema de esta edición fue “la incubación necesita creatividad”. Tras las presentaciones, todo el mundo era libre de hablar y contactar con los participantes.

It is made with reused paper from newspaper and magazines by rolling, braiding and cording paper. It is protected with a thin varnish layer, and the external design is customized by choosing the best images available on the selected paper.

Está hecho on papel reusado proveniente de revistas y periódicos mediante enrollado, trenzado y encordado. Está protegido por una fina capa de barniz, y el diseño exterior está personalizado escogiendo las mejores imágenes disponibles en el papel seleccionado.
