It is made with reused paper from newspapers as a tribute to the old “yezas” that were made with maize (corn) leaves. This historic object was created to use as a seat to avoid the cold from stones or ground. The paper YEZA was specially made for the “Roots of Environment” exhibition.

Hecha con papel reutilizado de periódicos como homenaje a las “yezas” antiguas hechas con hojas de panoja (maíz). Este objeto histórico fue creado para usarse como asiento para evitar el frío de las piedras o el suelo. La YEZA de papel fue hecha especialmente para la exposición “Las Raíces del Medio Ambiente“.

The Reciclantes collective will make an exhibition in Ansoáin (Pamplona – Spain) from november, 26th till december, 18th of 2010, and Retrain will be part of it with the ATOMO Stool and the SOFI Chair. The Recicloscopio 1.0 exhibition is held under the European Week of Waste Prevention organized by Crana, and is defined as: “an exhibition that shows multiple versions of artistic recycling with the aim of widen and especially, of recycle the idea that we have of recycling”.

El colectivo Reciclantes hará una exposición en Ansoáin (Pamplona – Spain) del 26 de noviembre al 18 de diciembre de 2010, y Retrain será parte de ella con el Taburete ATOMO y la Silla SOFI. La exposición Recicloscopio 1.0 está enmarcada en la Semana Europea de la Prevención de Residuos organizada por Crana, y se define como: “una exposición que muestra múltiples versiones del reciclaje artístico con el objetivo de ampliar, y sobre todo, de reciclar la idea que tenemos del reciclaje”.

Made with reused materials. Reused cardboard tubes lined with harmonic colored paper from magazines and catalogues are used as a bamboo boughs lamp. The container is a reused jerrycan filled with cobble stones.

Hecha con materiales reutilizados. Tubos de cartón reusados recubiertos con papel de colores armónicos proveniente de revistas y catálogos son usados como lámpara de ramas de bambú. El recipiente contenedor es un bidón reutilizado y rellenado con cantos rodados.

Retrain will be part of the Rehogar 2010 exhibition in Valencia made by “Makea Tu Vida” Collective. The SOFI Chair and the ATOMO Stool will be part of this event that wants to create a full house made by recycled or reused materials. The exhibition will be held in the “Sala de la Muralla de Octubre Centre de Cultura Contemporània” in Valencia, from September 27 to October 8.

Retrain será parte de la exposición Rehogar 2010 en Valencia organizada por el Colectivo “Makea Tu Vida“. La Silla SOFI y el Taburete ATOMO serán parte de este evento que quiere crear una casa completa hecha con elementos reciclados o reutilizados. La exhibición se alojará en la “Sala de la Muralla de Octubre Centre de Cultura Contemporània” en Valencia, del 27 de Septiembre al 8 de Octubre.

Made with reused paper from newspaper and magazines that came into my mailbox. Reused paper is used as structure, as skin and also as external graphic design, by using different process techniques. The Present Table is finished with a colorful photo collage on the top, that represents a subjective view of all the different creation phases.

Hecha con papel reusado de periódicos y revistas que llegaban a mi buzón. El papel reusado es empleado como estructura, como piel y también como diseño gráfico exterior, mediante el uso de diferentes técnicas de proceso. La Mesa Present está acabada con un collage fotográfico a todo color en la parte superior, que representa una visión subjetiva de las diferentes etapas de creación.

During the 2010 edition of Arnhem’s Nacht van de Mode (Fashion Night), the Awearness Upcycle Event took place at the Awearnees Fair Guerrillastore. Many designers and artists from different categories exposed their designs with upcycled materials in PechaKucha presentations from 20:00 to 24:00.

Rubcn exposed the Retrain project and its paper creations, and the new object that will be published online this week: the Present Table, also made out of paper.

Durante la edición 2010 de la Arnhem’s Nacht van de Mode (Noche de la Moda), se celebró el Awearness Upcycle Event en la Awearnees Fair Guerrillastore. Muchos diseñadores y artistas de diferentes categorías expusieron sus diseños con materiales recuperados en presentaciones tipo PechaKucha, desde las 20:00 hasta las 24:00.

Rubcn expuso el proyecto Retrain y sus creaciones de papel, así como el nuevo objeto que será publicado online esta semana: la Mesa Present, también hecha de papel.
