It has been a year since Retrain came to The Netherlands. Now Retrain returns to Spain and it will reshape itself again. Thanks to all that made possible this wonderful experience in Rotterdam.

Ya ha pasado un año desde que Retrain llegó a Holanda. Ahora Retrain vuelve a España y se reformará a sí mismo otra vez. Gracias a todos los que han hecho posible esta maravillosa experiencia en Rotterdam.

Made with reused paper from newspaper and magazines that came into my mailbox. Reused paper is used as structure, as skin and also as external graphic design, by using different process techniques. The Present Table is finished with a colorful photo collage on the top, that represents a subjective view of all the different creation phases.

Hecha con papel reusado de periódicos y revistas que llegaban a mi buzón. El papel reusado es empleado como estructura, como piel y también como diseño gráfico exterior, mediante el uso de diferentes técnicas de proceso. La Mesa Present está acabada con un collage fotográfico a todo color en la parte superior, que representa una visión subjetiva de las diferentes etapas de creación.

During the 2010 edition of Arnhem’s Nacht van de Mode (Fashion Night), the Awearness Upcycle Event took place at the Awearnees Fair Guerrillastore. Many designers and artists from different categories exposed their designs with upcycled materials in PechaKucha presentations from 20:00 to 24:00.

Rubcn exposed the Retrain project and its paper creations, and the new object that will be published online this week: the Present Table, also made out of paper.

Durante la edición 2010 de la Arnhem’s Nacht van de Mode (Noche de la Moda), se celebró el Awearness Upcycle Event en la Awearnees Fair Guerrillastore. Muchos diseñadores y artistas de diferentes categorías expusieron sus diseños con materiales recuperados en presentaciones tipo PechaKucha, desde las 20:00 hasta las 24:00.

Rubcn expuso el proyecto Retrain y sus creaciones de papel, así como el nuevo objeto que será publicado online esta semana: la Mesa Present, también hecha de papel.

On the 1st of april took place the 2nd Clean Drinks event at Club Watt in Rotterdam (Netherlands). Retrain was the 8th and last to pitch.

Clean Drinks is a pioneers meeting where every participant has 3 minutes to pitch and show their projects. This edition’s topic was “incubation needs creativity”. After the pitches, everybody was free to talk and contact with every participant.

El 1 de abril tuvo lugar la 2nd Clean Drinks en el Club Watt en Rotterdam (Holanda). Retrain fue el octavo y último en presentar.

Clean Drinks es un encuentro de pioneros donde cada participante dispone de 3 minutos para presentar y charlar sobre sus proyectos. El tema de esta edición fue “la incubación necesita creatividad”. Tras las presentaciones, todo el mundo era libre de hablar y contactar con los participantes.

On the 23rd of february started the 1st Auditie-Expositie at Studio Hergebruik in Rotterdam (Netherlands). In this exposition, some of the experiences shown here were exposed: the sofi chair, the sofi box, the braided hamper, a unique collection of 50 ecopencils and a ladder hanger.

The exposition took place on Studio Hergebruik, and it remained open until the 13rd of march. There were exposed some works of around 15 artists and designers on the exposition.

El 23 de febrero comienzó la 1a Auditie-Expositie en Studio Hergebruik en Rotterdam (Holanda). En esta exposición, algunas de las experiencias aquí mostradas fueron expuestas: la silla sofi, la caja sofi, el canasto trenzado, una colección única de 50 ecolápices y una percha escalonada.

La exposición se celebraró en Studio Hergebruik, y permaneció abierta hasta el 13 de marzo. Había expuestos algunos trabajos de alrededor de 15 artistas y diseñadores.

At the end of November, 2009 took place the 3rd edition of the CGC (Creative Groote Club) in Amsterdam, and Retrain presented three objects made of reused paper (the sofi chair, the sofi box and the guitar holder).

The CGC is an initiative of Groote Tuttobene, de Wolven, Fanu and the CAC (ORAM). The purpose of the CGC is that creative independent entrepreneurs make contact with companies. The event will consist of several exhibitions, conferences, the called “Night of networks”, etc… in various art factories in Amsterdam. The CGC is a meeting place where several designers and artists exhibit and sell their work in a unique atmosphere.

The exhibition was open to the public from November 26 to December 3, 2009.

A finales de noviembre se organizó la 3ª edición del CGC (Creative Groote Club) en Amsterdam, y Retrain presentó tres objetos hechos de papel reusado.

El CGC es una iniciativa de Groote Tuttobene, de Wolven, Fanu y el CAC (ORAM). El propósito del CGC es que empresarios independientes creativos entren en contacto con las empresas. El evento constará de varias exposiciones, conferencias, la llamada “noche de redes”, etc… en diversas fábricas de arte en Amsterdam. El CGC es un lugar de encuentro donde varios diseñadores y artistas exhibirán y venderán su trabajo en un ambiente único.

La exposición estuvo abierta al público del 26 de noviembre al 3 de diciembre de 2009.
